We are excited to announce that we are moving to a new warehouse to better serve our customers. During this transition, we will be pausing order fulfilment from 17th June to 1st July.
Lune Croissanterie is renowned for redefining the art of pastry-making, elevating the humble croissant to a culinary masterpiece. Founded in Melbourne, Lune has gained international acclaim for its meticulous approach to technique, innovation, and presentation. Each croissant is crafted with precision, embodying a perfect balance of flavour, texture, and form.
When Lune expanded to Rosebery, NSW, their vision for the space was as ambitious as their pastries—combining functional practicality for their bakers with a striking architectural identity that complements their brand. Euroluce was entrusted to deliver a bespoke lighting solution that would highlight Lune’s iconic features, from the mesmerising "Hyperdrive" to the exquisite pastry displays, while meeting the unique demands of a working bakery.
Euroluce collaborated on the lighting design for Lune's Rosebery location, creating a space that seamlessly blends architectural innovation with culinary artistry. The lighting brief focused on providing functional illumination for the bakers while creating a striking visual aesthetic that reflects Lune’s unique brand identity.
The Lune Rosebery project highlights Euroluce's ability to deliver tailored lighting solutions that balance functionality and design. While the project incorporated bespoke elements alongside core brand offerings, it demonstrated the flexibility and expertise Euroluce brings to unique and complex projects.
In the heart of the bakery, known as the "Hyperdrive," Euroluce installed Charm Track Spots to highlight the main counter and merchandise, drawing attention to the centre of the space. To complement this, custom linear LED profiles were designed for the Hyperdrive ceiling, creating a sculptural installation that not only enhanced the ambiance but also provided practical lighting for the bakers working below.
At the entrance, two bespoke wall lights, crafted in collaboration with In Addition, were positioned on either side of the lobby to emphasise its architectural shape. These lights, made from folded black steel and featuring a fully diffused custom round linear LED profile, created a welcoming and visually impactful entryway.
The pastry display, the star attraction of Lune, required precise and innovative lighting. FLOS Light Shadow DOTs were chosen to meet the specific brief of highlighting each of the 13 pastries on display. Each fitting was individually controlled, allowing staff to turn off lights for pastries that are out of stock, directly from the tills. The tight beam angle created a dramatic contrast, while the black finish of the fittings blended seamlessly into the environment, giving the illusion of an “invisible light source.”
To address the specific lighting needs of back-of-house kitchen and preparation areas, the Euroluce Linear Recessed Profile was selected. Featuring high-output LEDs, this solution ensures a uniform and reliable light source, ideal for enhancing functionality and visibility in these critical workspaces.
